Batman returns?

DC's blog, The Source, is reporting that Bruce Wayne will be back in April. It doesn't seem that long ago that he was shot and went back in time, wait was that Cap? Anyway, Morrison's writing. So I guess this means that he WASN'T vomiting rings in Blackest Night? Fail.

"Blasted by the mysterious and powerful Omega Effect in the pages of FINAL CRISIS during a deadly battle with the malevolent New God Darkseid, Bruce Wayne must battle back through the waves of time to reclaim what was his – his city, his life…his cowl?

From the kinetic and awe-inspiring imagination of writer Grant Morrison and an all-star cast of artists, including Chris Sprouse, who’ll handle art chores on the first issue, BATMAN: THE RETURN OF BRUCE WAYNE #1 (of 6) hits in April and will prove to be Bruce Wayne’s defining moment as a hero, and his toughest challenge yet."

Looks like they're tying in all the Elseworlds. What say you? We say blech...they could have come up with something better than this...although Kubert's work is awesome as always!

Good Grant Morrison interview about the series HERE.

Spiderman fans get the bird?

According to Movieline, "If negotiations proceed according to plan, Malkovich will be playing Spider-Man’s nemesis the Vulture, who packs a punch despite his advanced age. The Vulture is able to fly through the air and brandish his sharp wings to attack Spider-Man.

As for Hathaway, that’s where things get tricky. The 27-year-old actress is currently the top choice for Felicia Hardy, who’d been long-rumored as one of the new characters in this installment. (Other names bandied about for the role included Julia Stiles, Rachel McAdams, and Romola Garai.) However, unlike in the comic books, this Felicia Hardy doesn’t transform into the Black Cat. Instead, Raimi’s Felicia will become a brand-new superpowered figure called the Vulturess."

WTF? Ok, they also report that the suits can't get their greedheads around a villian like The Lizard, but they condone Spidey's WORST villian ever? Played by Malkovich???

With all the Spidey rumors going around out there, this one is in the grain of salt category.  We on the other hand, would LOVE To see The Spot, Carnage or Batroc the Leaper (heh) in the running for the next villian!

You?
