A couple of weeks ago as I checked the official Maryland Film Festival for the millionth time in an almost desperate hope that perhaps they had added a little something extra to their film line-up; maybe something a little scandalous and more interesting, maybe a decent Western, maybe an exciting and dark documentary, maybe anytype of genre film... maybe ANTHING that would make my cinematic heart skip a beat (just a quick aside to inform you that a great film IS playing, Bill “Smog” Callahan is presenting the glorious 1968 John Cassavetes film, Faces, and if I hadn’t seen it about 5 or 6 times I would definitely be going to see it.) and then instead my heart just stopped; I saw it, Dan Deacon is presenting Total Recall.
