It’s no secret Honey *lurves* the Asian cuisine.  And Honey loves Baltimore.  But what Honey does not love, is that the D.C. metro area has far more Asian restaurants than Baltimore, namely more pho restaurants.  And when we have these chilly grey winter days, nothing satisfies a hungry winter-weary soul like some pho.  Now don’t misinterpret my whining, the few restaurants we do have offering that ginormous bowl of hot soupy satisfaction are definitely on point!

Read it and weep Vegetarians… Bacon is the new Tofu.

Bacon is the new tofu? I know you’re saying, WTF is Honey talking about? Well lemme break it down for you… read the ingredients on almost any product and much to at least my dismay, tofu and soy products seem to be in everything these days. Oh hai Tofu! Bacon is hot on your trail at least in prepared foods.  So vegetarians, please sit the hell down.  Your moment of moral glory has passed.  Oh and those of you who are Muslim or keep kosher… you’d better do your homework, too, because bacon is popping up as an ingredient everywhere and where you’d least expect it!  Don’t hate… congratulate!  There is a new all-consuming love affair amongst foodies with our salty, fatty, guilty pleasure.  And more than ever before, bacon is being used in innovative untraditional applications and is the main theme of restaurant events.
